The Beer Calculator is an on-line program allowing calculation of a composition
of beer or wine based upon only two inputs and generally following the prescription
of the European Brewing Convention (EBC).
Further technical details are explained in "Instruction" found in "Main

About former works
The present version of The Scandinavian Beer Calculator is based upon the fundamental idea
of the AJL Beer Nomogrames designed in the period 1965 to 1975 at Alfred Jørgensen Laboratory Ltd
in Copenhagen. The designer was Mogens Søltoft, and the idea was to deduct the full beer
composition from any two figures involved, e.g. OE%P =12 and RDF% = 70. In the AJL Beer
Nomogrames the remaining figures were found by drawing a straight line through the two known
figures and subsequent reading the values from several crossing lines.
As computer software The Scandinavian Beer Calculator is a successor to The Tablebuster Beer Calculator,
which was made in 2003 by Henryk Lloyd Krasuski, Jens Friholm Nielsen, Frederik Foged Nielsen
and Henning Nielsen.
The formulas used for the calculations made by The Scandinavian Beer Calculator are mainly
prescribed by the European Brewery Convention (EBC).
